Hello,
My name is Bob. I am a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran. My wife and I decided
to build this website to help assist veterans in their re-entry to life after combat. As a long time sufferer of Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder or PTSD (I didn't even know what that was until recently), I found out that one thing that helped me
was to wear clothing that showed my pride in serving, not only in the Marine Corps, but also in Vietnam. Another way
was that I started talking about my experiences with my family and friends. This was brought about because my youngest
daughter was asking me questions about what I did in Vietnam.
Statistics show that more than 5.4 million Americans suffer from PTSD at any given time
during the year. A vast number of these people are veterans. In fact, it is estimated that over 200,000 Vietnam Veterans
alone still suffer from chronic symtoms of PTSD today, more than 30 years after the war was declared over.
Approximately 30% of all men and women who have served, or who are serving in combat,
suffer from, or will suffer from PTSD at some point in their lives.
Our mission is to help you, our fellow Veterans, identify the symtoms of PTSD, to
learn whether or not you have it and finally to learn how you can cope with it. There
is no cure for PTSD, but you CAN learn to deal with it.
Thank you for visiting our website and may God Bless You, and God Bless America.
